I was comfortable knowing they shipped from within the state of Oregon so they wouldn't be in transit long, the free shipping was a happy bonus, you had just the breed I wanted, and the 10 chick minimum order meant I didn't have to order an excessive number of birds like all the other hatcheries. Very happy with my new chicks, thank you!

I like that the chickens are northwest instead of coming from another part of the country. I wish that I could order less than 10. I needed some help with the immunization questions. The software failed and I had to call in to finalize the order.

This is a family owned and operated company. I spoke with one of the family members to place my order of chicks. She was friendly and knowledgeable about the breeds of chicks offered, and helped me make my selection. I was also impressed that Jenks Hatchery is working towards the highest levels of certification-accreditation of their chickens, and is taking biohazard measures to protect their flocks from the H5N1 Bird Flu virus. I have purchased chicks from Jenks Hatchery in the past, for 2025, and I plan to be a return customer.
