We bought 120 55lb bales of alfalfa. Upon unloading, nearly all the bales were loosely tied and some fell apart. We weighed several of the bales and the heaviest was 45 lbs, but about half the bales we weighed were even lighter - 40 lbs. 120 bales at 10 lbs lighter than advertised is over 1/2 ton! Thats a lot of hay to have paid for and not have available as feed.
