Tenaris is a global manufacturer and supplier of steel pipes and related services, primarily for the energy industry with nearly 21,750 employees around the world. It is a majority-owned subsidiary company of the Techint Group, which has interests in steel, energy, engineering and construction and industrial equipment.
It is headquartered in Luxembourg and is also a supplier of welded steel pipes for gas pipelines in South America. Tenaris has an annual production capacity of 3.3 million tons of seamless, and 2.8 million tons of welded pipes, annual consolidated net sales in excess of US$12.1 billion and 23,500 employees worldwide. In 2007 Tenaris bought Hydril and later split the premium connections from pressure control side of the business. The pressure control business was sold to GE Oil and Gas in April 2008.

The final Net Promoter Score of a company strongly depends on a context in which the satisfaction is measured.
Consider an example: If Tenaris S.A. sends out NPS surveys immediately after purchase, they are tracking their customers' initial excitement and the checkout experience.
On the other hand, if they survey their customers a few weeks after the purchase they are also tracking how satisfied their customers are with their products and services over time.
